European speed issues
We have noticed that quite a few European based customers (particularly German) have reported a sudden and dramatic decrease in download speeds over the last month or so. While North American customers are typically getting 1MB/sec+ some European customers are getting more like 50KB/sec whereas they previously had substantially better download performance. We suspect that this may be the result of peering disputes between internet providers that may have pulled the plug on each other forcing the signal to take less than ideal routes. If you are experiencing this problem you could help us out by providing some information so that we can trace where the routing problem lies. We would need to know where you live, who your internet provider is, and what your IP address is. If you don't know it you can get your IP address from whatismyip.com. If you are considering purchasing a membership and are concerned about the download speed you will get you can test it first by downloading one of our sampler videos.
New update schedule!
Reviewers and inthecrack members have stated their opinions. Everyone loves the site, but just can't get enough of it. In our ongoing effort to make inthecrack the absolute best in it's class we have introduced full res HD videos, eliminated the token system, and now revised the update schedule to double our production volume. Now as of July 16th you will see a new model every second day!
The change breaks down as follows. Our old schedule had a new model every 8 days with 2 sets in each collection (or 1 set every 4 days). The 2 sets per collection dates back to our DVD days when we needed a minimum amount of footage to make a sellable DVD. Since this no longer make sense we will now be releasing one set per collection. With the doubled production rate this means there will be one new set every 2nd day!
Inthecrack membership is now all inclusive!
Your inthecrack membership now includes ALL videos in ALL sizes. The token system is now redundant and as such we will no longer be selling tokens. These upgrades now make inthecrack highly competitive with other adult sites and an industry leader in quality and value for your dollar. Customers who still have outstanding tokens can still use them as originally intended. If you have tokens without a membership you will be redirected on login to a token version of the site.
inthecrack videos on your HD TV
If you have the right equipment you can view our 1920x1080 wmv videos on your 1080p HD TV. There is no need to try to convert formats and lose quality in the process. You will need an xbox 360 or Playstation 3 and an HDMI connection to your TV. The xbox/playstation will play any wmv files that you have burned onto a data DVD or are on a USB memory card. This has been tested with the xbox 360 elite version and it works beautifully (presumable this would also work with other versions of xbox 360). The Playstation has not been tested. The quality is so good you'd almost think you were watching a blu-ray video. It does not appear that you can transfer wmvs from a data DVD or USB memory card to the xbox/playstation hard drive, however we understand that you can transfer files to the hard drive from a PC that is networked to the xbox/playstation using windows media center. This is untested. Alternately if you have a long enough DVI to HDMI cable you should be able to use your HD TV as a computer monitor.
